Student Event: Reel Workshop
Having a solid reel is crucial when trying to land that first gig out of school. On Monday, January 29th students have a unique opportunity to share their reels one-on-one with working media professionals and receive valuable feedback right on the spot.
Students will be able to interact with a wide range of professionals from producers to editors to cinematographers. All of the pros will provide a personal perspective about their craft and help highlight the strengths in each student’s work. Our group of professionals are coming from a diverse background in the industry such as national/regional commercials, web videos, documentaries, and narrative film.
This program is a great opportunity for students to gain insight into the professional media industry and learn a bit more about what’s happening on the local scene. So, now’s the time to brush up your reel or finalize that piece you have been pouring everything into.
An added plus is this event is FREE for everyone to attend. We just ask that you register on-line before the event to make sure we have a meal ready for you that night.
Students: please bring a laptop or other device with your reel or other work ready to share.
MMP Members: we’re happy to have as many of you attend as possible, so we can have plenty of pros on hand to give students your valuable feedback. Also, please bring a set of HEADPHONES with you to review their work.
Public parking ramps are located on Lake Street. Enter Vilas Hall through the entrance on Park Street. There is a Wisconsin Public Television sign on the building, use the stairway down located next to it.
Spread the word to fellow students, pros, and friends. Register below and we’ll see you on January 29th!
