Reel & Social Media Workshop

Now, more than ever before, first impressions are absolutely crucial.
Having a solid reel is a vital first step, when getting started in this industry. On Tuesday, February 16th both students & young professionals will have a unique opportunity to share their reels and receive valuable feedback right on the spot.
A wide range of professionals including; directors, producers, editors and cinematographers will provide a personal perspective about their craft and help highlight the strengths and weaknesses of each reel.
And what if your reel yields the intended result? What if you do get noticed? The panel will also review participants’ social media presence and offer advice on making sure your passion & professionalism shine through online.
No reel, no problem! This is a great opportunity to connect with pros and ask questions. Unfinished work is also welcome. Now’s the time to tighten up that reel and share it with those that could help you the most.

Getting your talents noticed is a critical next step. On Thursday, February 18th a panel of producers, directors & cinematographers will offer guidance and expertise on how to best reach out to potential employers, crews and others hiring. Even during COVID, connections can be made and cultivated.
Then, more importantly, once you’re invited onto a project, what are some of the best ways to be invited back? The panel will also discuss both professional and character traits that make you memorable.
This program is another great opportunity to gain insight into the professional media industry and learn more about what’s happening on the local scene. Another Q&A will follow the panel discussion. Be sure to register online to participate.
